Short’s Travel Management, Inc. appoints a new CIO

Waterloo, Iowa – Short’s Travel Management (STM) today announced that it has added Kevin Broughton as Chief Information Officer to its executive management team. As CIO, Mr. Broughton will assume leadership of the IT operations and software development functions, as well as work across the company to foster initiatives that support STM’s goal to remain one of the most innovative TMCs in the market. Broughton will report to STM’s Chief Executive Officer and part owner, David LeCompte.


Broughton has held senior IT leadership roles previously in both the Public Utility and Financial Services industries, most recently as CIO of a multinational company providing field service, parts, and security solutions to some of the world’s largest banks.

Broughton has extensive experience in leveraging technology for innovation. He is known for nurturing and delivering organizational success through innovative systems and process design as well as streamlining business efficiencies.

Mr. Broughton holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (with distinction) from the University of Montana and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing degree from Montana State University.
