JetBlue Cuts More Cities From Network, Reduces Flights From Los Angeles

 

JetBlue is cutting more routes as part of the carrier’s strategy to restore its profitability following the loss of the Spirit merger and Pratt & Whitney engine issues.

 

JetBlue told crewmembers on Tuesday that it is cutting a slate of routes as part of its strategy to restore profitability following the termination of the Spirit Airlines merger. 

 

Starting June 13, JetBlue is ending service in Kansas City; New York’s Stewart International Airport; Bogotá, Colombia; Quito, Ecuador; and Lima, Peru. Service from Stewart International Airport had been suspended since the pandemic.

American to Allow Wi-Fi Purchase with Miles

 

 

Members of American Airlines' AAdvantage loyalty program "soon" will be able to use their miles to pay for Wi-Fi on board aircraft, the carrier announced Wednesday. 

 

The new ability will roll out in the next few weeks on a "couple select aircraft," and by the "summer travel season," be available on all of the carrier's Viasat-equipped narrowbody aircraft, according to the carrier.
